Adelaide Social Media Day // A Day Out

On Friday I attended a Social Media Day hosted by Good Things Marketing in a local collaborative work space. The day was set up to recognise and celebrate the impact social media has had on global communication. If you follow my twitter you may have seen me tweeting a fair bit about it using #smdayadl but today I'm going to talk a little bit about it.

The day was run from 10:30am until 5:30pm and was blocked into 50 minute sessions. A different speaker took each session and covered that specific topic. We discussed each step of the social media marketing process from planning and getting started right through to reporting.
Each session was broadcasted live to periscope for people to watch at home and we were encouraged to tweet and start conversations with each other electronically.

If you want to conduct social media marketing and you're not too tech savvy there are plenty of websites, applications and companies that offer services to help you. Some of the main resources that I found really interesting and are definitely worth googling are Knack Map, Social Quant and Canva.

I met a lot of really cool people during the day and got to learn a lot of different ways to cope with major social media marketing issues. For me these kinds of workshop days are really worth attending to see what other people think of the topic and what ideas they have that you can take inspiration from.

I've put a few photos from throughout the day below if you want to have a bit of a look!

Much love,
Chiblutis xx
