My space at home is quite large, however it has also always been cluttered and super messy. I'll do a big tidy up and spend hours bagging up what feels like ALL of my belongings only to have it end up messy a week later.
I'd heard a lot of commotion around Konmari's book The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, and, desperate for some clarity into my problem I decided to give it a read. While I found her method to be a little full on and overwhelming, there were a few gems of advice that I decided to take on.
A month went by and I found myself in the same old predicament, I was about to start another year in a super messy room and would make countless resolutions around it. It was at this point that a youtuber I've been following for a little while - Muchelleb - released a video announcing a challenge that she was to start in January surrounding simplifying your life.
This challenge sounded perfect to me, a daily to-do list to help me go through all of my belongings and declutter them once and (hopefully) for all. The 30 Days to Simplify Your Life Challenge doesn't officially start until the 7th of January so you still have time to sign up to her daily emails if you want to join me on this journey.
I hope that this challenge can spark something within me and help me to be more mindful about what I bring into my space and how that will affect me.
I'm super excited to start this challenge, if you have any nuggets of wisdom for me that you have picked up over the years please leave them below!
Love and light,
Vasi-Marie xx
