I've been playing around with both plain matcha and mint matcha and have found that I prefer mint matcha alone and plain matcha alongside food.
To make one cup of matcha water take a small scoop (about half a tea spoon) of matcha powder, fill about a centemitre of the cup with cool water and the rest up with boiling water. Whisk it all together really quickly (you can use a fork for this) and then add ice to cool it right down.
I tend to use a large flask and make three cups at a time because I really guzzle it down. Matcha water is super fresh and clean while still having a sweet flavour to it.
For me matcha water is a super great alternative to fizzy drinks and still has a great kick of caffeine.
