Back to Uni // Haul

Let it be know, I am a stationary lover. For as long as I can remember 'back to school' shopping has been my favourite time of the year. Today I'm going to share with you all what I picked up* (all from office works) for this year's university back to school shop. Warning this post is very photo heavy - but they are super satisfying photos.

I carry a notebook with me everywhere, I use the same one for all of my classes and subjects rather than separating them out. In this book I'll be as messy as I need to, the main goal is making sure that I don't miss any important notes, points or questions that I may have to ask later. I like using notebooks without a spiral because it keeps the paper more securely inside, whereas I find when turning pages in a spiral bound notebook I always manage to rip out pages I didn't want to. I picked up two of these so I can store a back up at home.

Once I get home from uni I set aside time to copy my notes, neatly and cohesively into an exercise book. I have one for each topic I'm studying. This helps me keep everything for each topic together and really, really helps when it comes to revision or in case I need to look back on notes for an assignment. I normally just get the studymate plain notebooks, but I was drawn towards the recycled ones this time around, they have a more solid cover and the actual paper is the same quality while being slightly better for the environment.

Now for some other little bits and bobs I picked up. I found this really cute pencil case, it's about the size of an A5 piece of paper and has two zips. This is really my ideal type of pencil case because I can put my sticky notes, some bobby pins and a usb in the front zip and all my pens and pencils in the back zip.

Normally I tend to go for really bright, colorful sticky notes, but I happened upon these super cute ones at the end of an isle and I just had to grab them. They look like lined notepaper with a bulldog clip at the top. I actually have since gone back and bought another two.

I use a bullet journal to keep my whole life in order which is fantastic, how ever I can't forward plan too much. For uni I like to set out mini deadlines for myself and really plan out my whole week, so I picked up this A5 week to an opening diary to keep on my desk. I can use this to plan out my assignments and week and every day transfer any relevant notes or tasks to my bullet journal.

My favourite part is of course the stationary. I'll let you know that I'm at the point in my life that I have actually developed favourite pens and highlighters, I'm still on the look out for a mechanical pencil and white out that I love. I use the Pilot ball point pens, these pens are perfect, the ink has a slight scent, they don't smudge or bleed and they have two types of points. I use both the medium and fine point in both colours, I use the thinner pens for all writing and the thicker ones for key words or important point.

Highlighter wise I prefer Stabilos, they have a thin enough nib to allow for precise highlighting while still being thick enough to highlight the whole word in one swipe. They come in such gorgeous bright colours and the ink lasts for an extremely long time, at the end of the year they're still going strong.

I also picked up a ruler that folds up for easy storage, a sharpie because I find they always come in handy, a mechanical pencil for graphs or mathematical problems and a tape whiteout which I find are so much neater than liquid whiteouts.

Sorting out my Uni supplies has really got me excited for the new semester to start up, are you looking forward to going back to school/uni?

Love and light,
Vasi-Marie xx

*I haven't included any binders or folders because I'm still tossing up between two styles
